This very attractive 1950's Racing boat is called "Miss Doris". She is totally original with a lovely display stand.
We are not expert regarding marine engines and therefore can only report that the engine is reputed to be a Mills Mk2 1.3cc diesel engine. It has not been tested.
The launch is in very good condition with just a couple of paint chips on the transom and some paint loss on the prop shaft caused by the stand. All the paintwork has been overvarnished which has yellowed over the years.
The engine hatch is not secured and there is no sign of any fuel spillage in the engine compartment. We would suggest that this is indicative that she has never been in the water.
Please have a good look at the photos and decide for yourself.
The cockpit/engine cover is delightful. The cockpit has a faux crocodile leather seat, a steering wheel, and 4 small false dials on the dashboard. There is a large air intake for the engine.
There is a little damage to the "leather" on the top of the seat back.
The stand is original and really sets off the boat off and makes for a really striking decorative display launch.
