In addition to being a Naval architect E.W.Hobbs was a very successful designer of pond yachts and model boats.
He used his expertise to design and commission many of the yachts and models sold by Bassett-Lowke.
He wrote and published many books on the subject of the design of pond yachts. 
This illustration is from a 1930's model book or encyclopedia.
It is in very good condition with just the folds which you can see in the photographs.
Framed this would be a really interesting reminder of the hayday of model boat sailing.
