This Alexander pond yacht has a different hull shape to the models they made for Bassett Lowke, Hamleys etc.
Dating from the 1930's she has a longer keel, a longer bow section and shallower draft. In many ways she is similar to another rare classic yacht of that period Star Productions Racing Special.
The hull is in good condition with just a little damage at the bow and at the stern. She was obviously sailed and although the paintwork of cream and blue is original it is showing its age.
The deck has a lovely colour and all the deck fittings are present and in good condition including the wonderful skylight which was fitted to many of these yachts. The damage at the stern has also affected the deck area. Please have a look at the photo for more details.
Obviously she will need a new rig but as Alexanders become more difficult to find and their values increase it is a restoration worth doing.
If you would like further photos please do not hesitate to ask.
