Between the World Wars wooden motor launches were a common sight on the ponds of this country. They were propelled by clockwork, steam, or electric motors.

This particular boat was a clockwork model. She is made from bread and butter mahogany with an elm foredeck. She was hollowed to allow the motor and a cockpit to be fitted.

Originally she may have been painted but now we can properly appreciate the quality of the wood and workmanship. The hull is in good order although there is a crack in the transom.

The prop shaft and rudder are present and correct. However, the motor and tiller are missing. Whilst she could be restored to sailing condition she is being offered as a decorative antique.

She has a stunning hull shape and was made to a very high standard.

The stand is not as old as the yacht but sets her well so it is included in the sale.
