This Triang pond yacht was made by Lines Bros between 1954 and 1959.

The C24 was the largest of a range of tinplate yachts which were remarkable for the standard of construction and the wonderful hull shape.

There is some paint loss on the bottom of the keel and on the bow which suggests that she has been sailed but she is still in really good condition for her age.

The original paintwork of cream with a blue stripe does have a few paint chips. However, as you can see in the photographs, for this age of yacht the paintwork is remarkable.

The deck, its fittings, and cabin top are all original and in very good order. The Triang deck transfer is still present.

The rig is all original but the sails do have some water stains. Otherwise they are in very good order for their age with no holes or tears. All the fittings, the hooks and bowsies are all original.

When this yacht was purchased the rigging was original but it had been tied in hanks and secured with sellotape.  The sellotape had long turned yellow and brittle and the rigging had become unusable. Consequently all the rigging has been renewed.

The stand is not original but is offered with the yacht if required.
