Skipper yachts were founded by John Foster in 1991 in Woodbridge Suffolk.
They were traditionally made  from wood with sails of modern sail material.
The company was sold in 2007 and in 2009 production was moved to China.
It is unclear exactly when production ceased.
The majority of the production were monohulls but some catamarans were made. 
This is the 13 inch version called Sun Cat. She is in very good condition and totally original. She does not appear to have been sailed but there are a few paint chips on the bows and the stern of the port side hull.
English made Skipper yachts are now collectable especially multihulls.
